What the homeowner wanted
Replace a builder-grade island with a single surface that becomes the focal point of an open-plan kitchen.

The design challenge
The homeowner wanted warm metallic movement that would not fight existing warm wood cabinetry and brass fixtures.
FlowStone's solution
A Copper Canyon pour with a waterfall edge, tuned to coordinate with the room rather than repeat a slab pattern.
The existing condition
Concept: existing laminate island in sound condition
Why this project path made sense
The existing island substrate was sound and well-bonded, so resurfacing in place avoided a full tear-out while still allowing a completely new look and a waterfall edge.
Color and material direction
Warm ivory base with flowing copper and amber veining, developed to echo the brass fixtures and warm wood tones already in the room.
The room around the surface
Warm wood cabinetry, brass hardware, light oak flooring, and a painted backsplash in a bright, open-plan kitchen.
