    Two-Year Workmanship Warranty

Create a one-of-a-kind surface for the places where people gather. FlowStone designs custom bar tops and tables around the room, the intended use, and the way the surface should relate to the surrounding finishes.

Designed for the Places Where People Gather

A bar top or table is more than an open surface. It becomes the place where people eat, serve drinks, play games, work, and spend time together.

FlowStone develops the color, movement, edge details, and finish around the room and the way the surface will be used. You review a physical sample in the space before approving the final design.

Best for: Homeowners creating or updating wet bars, basement bars, dining tables, game tables, and other gathering surfaces that deserve a more personal design.

    Who This Service Is For

    • Homeowners building or updating a basement or wet bar
    • Dining and gathering spaces that need a custom focal point
    • Existing bar tops with sound substrates that may be resurfaced
    • New bar or table substrates built for an approved resin finish
    • Unusual dimensions that do not fit standard manufactured tops
    • Homeowners who want the surface coordinated with cabinetry, flooring, lighting, and furnishings

    What Problem It Solves

    • A bar surface that feels disconnected from the surrounding room
    • A standard table or top that does not fit the available space
    • Limited design control when choosing prefabricated materials
    • An existing surface that is dated while the underlying structure still works
    • Uncertainty about how a handcrafted surface will look in the finished room
    • Separate surfaces that need a shared color and design direction

The Right Approach Depends on the Surface and Its Use

Resurface a suitable existing top. When an existing bar or table top is firmly bonded, dry, structurally stable, and compatible with the coating system, FlowStone may be able to transform it without replacing the underlying structure.

Create a new surface. When the existing surface is unstable, damaged, the dimensions are changing, or a new bar or table is being created, an appropriate new substrate may provide the better foundation. The surface can often be fabricated and poured off-site before installation or delivery.

We evaluate the substrate, base, support, span, edges, intended use, access, plumbing conditions, and exposure to heat or moisture before recommending a method.

Is Your Bar or Table a Good Candidate?

    Potentially suitable

    • Stable substrates or table tops that can be properly prepared
    • Bases and supports appropriate for the surface dimensions and intended use
    • Residential bars with resolved plumbing, electrical, and lighting plans
    • Surfaces intended for normal dining, serving, entertaining, or game use
    • New substrates constructed for the approved coating system
    • Projects with finalized dimensions, cutouts, edges, and installation conditions

May require correction or a different material

    • Unstable bases, unsupported spans, or visible movement
    • Moisture damage, swelling, deterioration, or rot
    • Surfaces exposed to sustained direct heat
    • Outdoor exposure unless the complete system is specifically approved for it
    • Commercial environments whose cleaning, chemical, heat, or traffic requirements exceed the system specifications
    • Deep-pour, encapsulation, or embedded-object designs that require a different resin system
    • Materials that cannot provide dependable adhesion or chemical compatibility

Suitability is reviewed through photographs and confirmed after the surface, support, intended use, and site conditions have been evaluated.

A Gathering Surface Designed Around the Room

    • A custom base color, movement, veining, and finish
    • A physical sample reviewed before final approval
    • A design coordinated with cabinetry, flooring, lighting, furniture, and surrounding finishes
    • Edge profiles planned for the substrate and intended use
    • A suitable existing top resurfaced when appropriate
    • A new substrate prepared when replacement or custom dimensions require it
    • On-site pouring or off-site fabrication based on project conditions
    • Multiple related surfaces coordinated through a shared design direction

Should the Surface Blend In or Lead the Room?

The design begins with the role the surface should play. It can quietly connect the room or become the feature that gives the space its character.

Quiet movement. A restrained, stone-inspired surface that supports detailed cabinetry or lighting.

Statement movement. Stronger veining and contrast for a focal-point bar or table.

Warm coordination. Earthy colors developed around wood, leather, warm lighting, and natural finishes.

Cool coordination. Cleaner palettes designed around painted cabinetry, metal, glass, or modern furnishings.

Edge relationship. Profiles selected for the substrate, proportions, and way people use the surface.

Lighting relationship. Color and sheen reviewed under the lighting used in the room.

Coordinated surfaces. Related bars, side tables, or gathering surfaces designed to belong together without requiring identical patterns.

You review a physical sample in the room, under the actual lighting, before approving the final design.

Share the Surface and Intended Use

Send photographs, approximate dimensions, and details about how the bar or table will be used. Include the base, supports, edges, nearby finishes, and any plumbing, outlets, lighting, or cutouts.

    2. 02

      Evaluate the Project

We review the substrate, support, span, edge conditions, access, intended use, heat exposure, moisture conditions, and surrounding room.

    3. 03

      Create and Approve the Design

FlowStone develops the color, movement, accents, and finish around the room and the intended use. You review a physical sample before approving the final design.

    4. 04

      Prepare or Fabricate

A suitable existing surface may be repaired and prepared in place. When a new surface is required, an appropriate substrate is prepared for the approved dimensions, edges, cutouts, and installation method.

    5. 05

      Pour, Install, and Walk Through

Depending on the project, the surface is poured and finished on-site or handcrafted off-site and installed after curing. We complete a final walkthrough and explain cleaning, care, and protection.

Off-site fabrication. Many bar tops and tables are better suited to off-site fabrication. The surface can be prepared, poured, finished, and allowed to cure under controlled conditions before being installed or delivered. Suitable projects may be installed in approximately half a day, but size, weight, access, cutouts, and complexity affect the final installation time.

    What Affects the Schedule?

    • Surface type, dimensions, and total area
    • Existing substrate or new fabrication
    • Base, support, span, and edge conditions
    • Plumbing, outlets, lighting, or cutouts
    • Number of colors and design layers
    • On-site versus off-site fabrication
    • Access, weight, delivery, and installation requirements
    • Cure time and any required return visits

You will receive a written project schedule before work begins.

Living With a FlowStone Bar or Table

Bars and tables encounter spills, glassware, dishes, sharp objects, and frequent contact. Straightforward care helps protect the finish.

    • Clean spills promptly with mild soap and a soft cloth
    • Use coasters beneath glasses and containers that may remain wet
    • Use trivets and never place hot cookware directly on the surface
    • Use cutting boards rather than cutting directly on the surface
    • Avoid abrasive cleaners and aggressive scrubbing pads
    • Lift rather than drag heavy, sharp, or rough objects
    • Contact FlowStone before attempting to repair scratches or damage

Localized wear or damage may be repairable or renewable without replacing the entire surface.
