1. Our commitment
FlowStone warrants that the surface preparation, resin application, finishing, and installation performed by FlowStone will be free from defects in workmanship for two years from the completion date recorded on your project completion document.
This warranty applies to the original purchasing customer at the original installation address and covers the indoor residential surfaces identified in the signed project agreement. It is not transferable.
Commercial installations, outdoor surfaces, and other specialty applications require separate written warranty terms.
2. What is covered
When caused by defective FlowStone workmanship, covered conditions include:
- Peeling, lifting, or separation of the coating from the prepared substrate.
- Separation between coating layers.
- Persistent soft, sticky, or improperly cured areas after the documented cure period.
- Blistering or other coating failures caused by improper preparation or application.
- Defects in substrate fabrication, attachment, or support that FlowStone supplied and installed within the agreed scope.
- Material finishing defects that substantially interfere with normal use or materially depart from the agreed finish.
Coverage includes the labor and materials necessary to correct a covered defect. FlowStone will not charge a deductible or service-call fee for covered warranty work.
3. Custom appearance and design approval
Each FlowStone surface is individually created. Approved samples establish the intended color family, overall character, and finish. They do not guarantee exact duplication of every vein, movement, metallic effect, or pattern placement.
Reasonable artistic variation is part of the finished surface. Photographs and digital renderings are illustrative and may display colors differently from the installed surface.
This provision does not excuse poor workmanship, substantial departures from the approved design, or defects that interfere with normal use. Customer acceptance at completion does not waive coverage for concealed defects discovered during the warranty period.
4. What is not covered
This limited warranty does not cover:
- Ordinary wear. Surface scratches, scuffs, gradual sheen changes, and wear resulting from normal use.
- Physical damage. Cuts, chips, gouges, impact damage, or damage from dragging objects, standing, sitting, or placing excessive loads on the surface.
- Heat damage. Burns, scorching, discoloration, distortion, or other damage caused by hot cookware, heating appliances, open flames, or thermal shock.
- Chemical or spill damage. Damage caused by incompatible cleaners, solvents, harsh chemicals, or prolonged exposure to spills.
- External moisture. Damage caused by plumbing leaks, flooding, standing water entering joints or openings, or failed seals not attributable to FlowStone's workmanship.
- Underlying movement or failure. Damage caused by building movement, cabinet movement, or failure of existing substrates or supports outside FlowStone's contracted work.
- Damage from subsequent work. Damage caused by remodeling, cutting, drilling, moving, or modifying the surface after installation.
- Unapproved exposure. Damage caused by outdoor use or conditions outside the application specified in the project agreement.
- Routine maintenance. Cosmetic refreshing, polishing, and recoating needed because of ordinary wear.
- Changed preferences. Requests to change an approved color, pattern, or finish after installation.
An exclusion applies only to the extent that the excluded condition caused or contributed to the claimed damage. Unrelated warranty coverage remains in effect.
Existing-condition exclusions do not excuse FlowStone's failure to perform preparation, repairs, or suitability assessments included in the project agreement.
5. Care and use
To protect your surface:
- Use trivets or protective pads under hot cookware and heat-producing appliances.
- Use cutting boards; do not cut directly on the surface.
- Clean with a soft cloth and mild, nonabrasive cleaner unless your project care sheet specifies otherwise.
- Wipe up spills promptly and maintain seals around sinks, joints, and fixtures.
- Follow the written release-to-use and care instructions supplied at completion.
- Report leaks or other conditions that could damage the surface promptly.
For White Platinum installations, avoid isopropyl alcohol during the first 14 days after the pour.
FlowStone does not promise a specific direct-contact heat tolerance, a scratch-proof surface, or suitability for direct food preparation. Use cutting boards and serving dishes.
You are not required to purchase a particular brand of maintenance product to retain warranty coverage. Damage caused by an incompatible product may be excluded.
6. Color stability
This warranty does not provide a lifetime guarantee against yellowing, fading, or other color change.
A color change caused by defective FlowStone mixing, application, or finishing during the warranty period is covered. Changes caused by external heat, chemicals, staining, or exposure outside the agreed application are excluded to the extent those conditions caused the change.
7. How to request warranty service
Contact FlowStone using the warranty contact information above as soon as you reasonably discover a concern.
Please provide:
- Your name and installation address.
- Your invoice number or approximate completion date.
- A description of the concern and when you first noticed it.
- Photographs, if reasonably available.
FlowStone will review the information and arrange an inspection when necessary. Please provide reasonable access to the affected surface.
Take reasonable steps to prevent additional damage. Where practical, allow FlowStone to inspect before alterations or repairs are made. Necessary emergency measures do not automatically cancel coverage; document the condition beforehand when reasonably possible.
A claim reported during the warranty period remains eligible for review even if inspection or repair occurs afterward.
8. How covered defects are resolved
FlowStone will repair, refinish, recoat, or replace the affected portion as reasonably necessary to correct a covered defect.
Depending on the finish and location, correction may require work across a continuous countertop section to achieve an acceptable appearance. Repair materials and patterns may vary slightly from the original installation.
Covered work includes necessary labor and materials and any removal or reinstallation reasonably required to complete that work. FlowStone will explain the proposed repair and anticipated downtime before scheduling.
If a covered defect cannot reasonably be corrected, FlowStone and the customer will agree on an appropriate replacement or refund for the affected work, subject to applicable legal rights.
Repairs are covered for the remainder of the original warranty or 90 days after repair completion, whichever is longer.
9. Manufacturer products
This warranty is issued by FlowStone. It is not a manufacturer warranty or an extension of a manufacturer warranty.
FlowStone remains responsible for its commitments under this document. If inspection identifies a possible material defect unrelated to FlowStone's workmanship, FlowStone will explain the finding and assist with any available supplier claim. This does not limit any other rights the customer may have.
10. Your legal rights
This limited warranty provides specific legal rights. You may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
Nothing in this warranty excludes or limits rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. This document does not disclaim implied warranties available under applicable law.
The warranty version provided with your signed project agreement governs your project. Later website changes do not reduce that coverage.
