What the homeowner wanted
Unify a full kitchen with one continuous dark surface that contrasts light oak cabinetry.
The design challenge
Multiple separate countertop sections and a sink cutout meant the pour had to read as one continuous surface.
FlowStone's solution
A Midnight Current pour across the perimeter and island, with minimized seams and a coordinated waterfall edge.
The existing condition
Concept: existing laminate countertops, sound and well-bonded
Why this project path made sense
The existing laminate countertops were sound and well-bonded across all sections, so resurfacing preserved the working layout while delivering a continuous, seam-minimized dark surface.

Deep charcoal-black field with dark flowing current-like veining and a faint warm mineral shimmer, developed for contrast against light oak.

Light oak cabinetry and flooring, a painted perimeter backsplash, stainless appliances, and undermount sink and cooktop cutouts.
